Marcia L. Kraft has been in private practice in both Woodland Hills and Simi Valley for almost 20 years. The office focuses on all aspects of Family Law including Child Custody and Property issues, Probate, Estate and Trust Planning and Litigation including Personal Injury and Employment matters for both plaintiffs and defendants. She is a member of various referral services including the Ventura County Bar Association and the San Fernando Valley Bar Association as well as a member of the referral service for AARP amongst others.
 
Ms. Kraft’s experience includes being an arbitrator for cases for the Ventura County Superior Court, being a mediator on Probate and Family Law matters for Los Angeles County Superior Court and sitting as a Judge Pro Tem in both Small Claims and Traffic courts.
 
Ms. Kraft is a caring and conscientious attorney who always advocates vigorously for her clients.
 
Most recently, Ms. Kraft was the president of the Valley Community Legal Foundation of the San Fernando Valley Bar association. The VCLF does  charitable work providing scholarships and grants to the community. One of the recent projects was the development and installation of a Children’s Waiting Room at the Van Nuys courthouse.
 
Ms. Kraft earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Interdisciplinary Studies from the State University of  New York at Stony Brook and her Juris Doctor from Southwestern University in Los Angeles, California.

Javier Ramirez

Javier Ramirez is an Associate Attorney at the Woodland Hills office. Javier received his Juris Doctorate from the University of California, Los Angeles and his undergraduate degrees from Yale University in English and History of Art.

Prior to joining the firm, Javier practiced general civil litigation, including civil rights discrimination and personal injury. At the Law Offices of Marcia L. Kraft,  Javier handles matters concerning wills, trusts, estate planning, bankruptcy, employment litigation and debt collection. He is a member of  the San Fernando Valley, Ventura and Los Angeles County Bar Associations.

 

Annette Mann 

Annette is an alumna of the University of Texas at Austin, and she earned her JD at the University of Memphis.  She was awarded the Corpus Juris Secundum Award for Excellence in Property in law school, and is now Kraft Law Office's foremost expert on the Rule Against Perpetuities.

Ms. Mann's practice is focused on Probate Law and she handles matters such as wills, trusts, powers of attorney, health care directives and conservatorships.  She began her legal career as a Family Law litigator and continues to skillfully serve clients in cases of divorce, support, custody and adoption.

She is active in the community, volunteering at the Harriett Buhai Center for Family Law and Angel Flight West at the Santa Monica Airport. Annette currently serves on the "Speakers" committee for Mensa and she crews for the Marina Del Rey Sunday Sailors several times a month.  Ms. Mann also sits as an officer on the board of directors of the Calico Early Man Site, and you can frequently find her out in the Mojave Desert digging for artifacts with the archeologists.

 

Lawrence (Larry) Miller 

Larry  received his Bachelor of Science degree from California State University, Northridge and his Juris Doctor from Empire College of Law. Larry has been a licensed Real Estate Broker since about 1980. He ran his own brokerage for several years.

Immediately upon passing the California Bar Exam, Larry began working for the Office of the Los Angeles County Public Defender where he did numerous felony and misdemeanor trials. He has successfully resolved thousands of cases in his over 20 years of criminal practice. Larry is a seasoned trial attorney who has done over 89 jury trials and numerous bench trials.

Larry is a member of both the San Fernando Valley and Los Angeles County Bar Associations. He is married with two children and several grandchildren.

We are happy Larry has brought his expertise in both criminal and real estate matters to the Law Offices of Marcia L. Kraft.

Karen Socher 

Karen Socher is a Family Law Attorney and a member of the State Bar of California since 2003.  Karen received her Juris Doctorate from McGeorge School of Law in Sacramento and her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of California at Los Angeles.  Karen is married to a musician and they have two children.  When Karen is not working she enjoys gardening, yoga, running, tennis, racquetball, rollerblading, and family outings.  Karen is Escrip Coordinator and School Site Councilmember at her children’s school, and is a member of the Ventura County Bar Association.

 

Tin Westen

Tin Kim Westen received her undergraduate degree in Business Administration from University of the Pacific, and her law degree from Thomas M. Cooley Law School in Lansing, Michigan.  In law school, she was on the Dean’s List and received a Certificate of Merit for Estate Planning. 

 

Prior to joining the firm, Tin practiced general civil litigation.  She also has experience in insurance defense and asbestos litigation.  At the Law Offices of Marcia L. Kraft, she primarily handles Family Law and Estate Planning matters.

 

Tin is a member of the Los Angeles County Bar Association, San Fernando Valley Bar Association, and Women Lawyers Association of Los Angeles.  She is admitted to practice in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern and Central Districts of California.

 

Tin is married and has a son.  She also has a Jack Russell named Domingo.

Steven Kampf

Steven Kampf is an Associate Attorney at the Woodland Hills office.  He is originally from Detroit, Michigan and received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Michigan State University.  After graduating, Steven moved to California to attend law school and received his Juris Doctor degree from the University of San Diego.

Steven specializes in Family Law and has experience handling a wide variety of Family Law issues.  Prior to joining the firm, he worked for the Family Law Facilitator's Office and the Family Law Division of the Legal Aid Society.
